What’s with all the error messages?
If you were visiting my site within the last hour or so you may have noticed a bunch of WordPress error messages and a general failure of the blog to work. This was caused because there were over 50,000 queries done on my database from my main WordPress db user account.
I did not see a big traffic spike so I will have to investigate what is sucking up all the queries.
After I fixed the query problem I encountered another problem. I was suddenly locked out of the admin are of the blog!
I had to go into the database and do some magic there before I was able to log into my blog again. What a mess and what a pain!

Have you considered upgrading to the latest WP release?
I downloaded it last night. Once I got the blog to the point where I could upgrade it I was just too tired to do it.
What version were you running?
Geez, I’d freak out if I got locked out. I doubt if I’d know off hand how to get into the db’s manually.
Tonight I will be running the latest version!
He’s still running 2.1
Your host should give you an option to access the MySQL databases. I’m assuming you use cPanel. Everything should be right there.
It happened to me once, Steve. It was when the host ran out of space on the database server. I was going bonkers trying to figure out what went wrong when it was nothing on my end. Like you, I was completely locked out until they rebooted the database server.
I haven’t noticed any problems…Last I accessed your website was lastnight and now again at 1:13 pm PST.
In regards to Manthem’s post, I think I should upgrade to the latest wordpress version! I’m using 2.0.5
