Ouch... My tooth hurts.
About a week ago I lost a filling in one of my teeth. I do not know exactly when I lost it but I did notice that the inside of my mouth did not feel right. There was something sharp and a hole where things used to be smooth.
For the first few days everything was OK. I knew I needed to call my dentist but since nothing hurt I waited.
Why did I wait? That tooth hurts like hell right now!
I have an appointment to see my dentist tommorow but now I am wondering if I should have the tooth filled or extracted. It is a molar and dits way in the back on the upper right part of my jaw. Because it is in the back if it was pulled no one would notice. If it was between two teeth there would be no question.
So I'm sitting here, downing pain killers and wondering, "should I have him fill it in or yank it out?"

I’d wager to say that’s a pretty large reason why people dislike dentists. They wait until they actually feel the pain before going in. Preventive measures are not their immediate concern. It’s too bad really because I’m sure that everyone could benefit from people preventing more dental problems. Well, everyone except the insurance companies.
About a month ago, I had to get some of my old amalgam fillings drilled out and replaced with better material. Unfortunately some of those fillings had cavities behind them, so the replacement process was even more painful than usual. That drilling sound really gets to me. Perhaps, I’ll make an appointment tomorrow for a cleaning.
I’m back now and it was not so bad. After a little bit of drilling he got all of the decay out and put one of those new tooth-colored fillings in.
It looks oh so nice! Much better than the military filling that fell out.
Yeah, mine was a military filling, too.
I should visit a dentist also, but I’m so lazy about it. One of my tooth’s is being crumbled actually and I know I should get to fix it soon. But since I don’t feel any pain…
Sadly = ((before fight in 2006 I had 32 teeth. Now 30 =)
