Engadget, the latest victim of globalization
For a long time now Engadget has held the top spot at Technorati. With over 26K blogs linking to them and the second place slot has been held by BoinBoing with just under 20K blog links. You would think their position would be safe. Not so! hexuncom.blog.hexun.com has just been added to Technorati and with over 30K blogs linking to them it will be a long time before Engadget reclaims the top spot.
Yesterday on Techzi.net there was a report of a Japanese website named Ameba taking the top spot with 225,454 blogs linking in!
If Technorati wants to be a global player in the blog market they have to be prepared for this, as do all of us...
- Technorati can’t count?
- NBC puts shows online… Unless you use Linux
- Hey kid, get off my lawn!
- Free Stuff from Tiger Direct
- Focusing on the social in social news and book marking

I think we’re getting close. We’re almost up there too! Only 3, maybe 4 hundred more years. Ah well…
GEEEZ!!! 225,454 blogs linking in to Ameba. Well, glad to see I’m close. Maybe in, ooooh, a million years. But I will be close :)
I have never heard of those sites. What is the Ameba site? I haven’t downloaded any language packs and can’t tell what it is.
