The Gods of the Culahn
The Culahn come from a clannish society and all see the Great Mother, or Sh'Lai, as their supreme deity. She is most often revered by Druids and Bards alike but does not have a clerical following.
The Clerics of the Culahn follow a different path, they worship their ancesters.
The greatest of the great among the Culahn are allowed to remain with Sh'Lai after their deaths and help their kindred in the generations to come. It is not uncommon for a family to have more gods above them then members in their clan. For unlike the gnomes and humans, no deity is ever thrown out of Sh'Lai's domain.
What this also means is that the deities of the Culahn are very power poor. Occasionly a truly great Culahn deity will arrive but most are limited to granting second level clerical spells at best.
The one most notable Culahn deity was Ert McNarn. He lived the life of a general during the great battles between the Rakan and the Culahn. After his death and subsequent dismembering at the battle of 12 nights he was elevated by his followers to deityhood overnight. Their was much shock among the troops of the Rakan when over 20,000 culahn attacked on the 12th day all chanting the name of Ert Mcnarn. Needless to say, with that much power behind him the clerics of the Culahn began casting spells never seen to them before and quickly decimated the unprepared Rakan forces.
