I enjoyed this game quite a bit. Turn-based strategy games are right up my alley. Another good WW2 strategy game (real-time) is Company of Heroes. It has a sequel/add-on too.

I was hooked about halfway through the tutorial when I realized it struck such a nice balance between card game, resource management strategy and light wargame positioning.

I love the depth you go to in your reviews. I get off on war games so you have convinced me to give this one a try. I appreciate Jason seconding the choice. It helps to hear from more than one person before laying out any cash.

It is slow, but a very good game if your a fan of the genre. As well most people that are interested in this type of game probably won’t have much issues with the slow pace.

Personally I usually only play one or two games in a row. Then I take a break for at least an hour.

I have played through the first six games of PG:AA and the problem with the “card” you mentioned above does not exist. The card is removed from the game when played. I don’t know if this was fixed after laugh, but it is not a problem now. Also you can only play one per turn. I guess Ubisoft did their homework on card games.

My rating: It is a good solid game. Pick it up and give it a try.
