Romance of the Three Kingdoms IV is a tactical simulation game in which the player takes the role of a ruler seeking to unite China in the era of the three kingdoms of Wei, Wu and Shu. The role of the ruler is to command a range of officers with differing characteristics - some cunning strategists, others brave warriors - and strengthen the military might of his or her kingdom. Foreign policy, involving forming alliances with certain kingdoms and hatching plans to weaken others, will play a major role in this process. Once players have developed a powerful enough military, it will be time to expand their borders through military conquest. Ultimate victory will only be achieved once all 43 cities in China lie within a player's control.
This game uses either the classic controller or Game Cube controllers. From 1 to 8 players can play this great strategy game at the same time. I will probably be buying this game for myself as I like computerized military strategy games. At 800 Wii points it is 100 more Wii points than I currently have on my account! I just purchased ExciteBike this weekend and I have to say that that particular game was somehow enhanced by the fog of time.

Call me when they release Earthbound or Chrono Trigger.
Steve, I love the Romance of the Three Kingdoms game series! I would say it is the most popular traditional strategy game in Asia. The latest versions in PlayStation/PC is 10, and they are remaking them in PSP.
I purchased Military Madness on the VC this weekend, is RTK a more advanced game along the same lines?
Steve, I have never played Military Madness before but I think RTK is more similar to an advance version of Risk/Axis&Allies. You have to build up your cities, recruit, build your armies, develop weapons and conquer the whole map. RTK is based on the Three Kingdoms period in ancient China. Hence, all the cities, people, events are based on the history. The key is to recruit talented people to help you fight and develop your cities.
