Wii Sports Bowling: Tips and Tricks

So, you think you have what it takes to bowl a 300 on Wii Sports Bowling? Well let me tell you something, it ain't that easy. There is a way to master the game and it requires a little bit more than just tossing a ball at some pins.
Your Swing
The first thing you need to do is learn your swing. Spend a few minutes just getting to know how you swing the wii-mote. Don't do any aiming, just swing. You will soon notice a pattern.
Do you always spin the ball in a certain direction? Do you swing fast or slow? Before you try aiming the ball perfect your swing.
Now that you have learned how you swing start playing with the left and right aiming functions in bowling. After a few strings you should just about have it down pat to getting strikes. If you are real brave start fooling around with the angled aiming!
Your Ball
The color of the bowling ball you use is based on the gender of your Mii. Boys get blue balls and girls get pink balls. The pros get to use a start studded ball!
What if you want to use a ball of a different color? There is a way!
When the game starts and fades to black you need to hold the control pad on your wii-mote in one of four directions to get a ball of a different color:
- Up - Blue
- Down - Green
- Left - Red
- Right - Gold
Tricks
There are a few simple 'tricks' in the game as well.
If you swing and release the ball so it goes behind you all of the Miis who are watching the game will jump up in surprise!
If you move all the way to a gutter and then spin your aim over you can throw your ball so it lands in lane other than your own!
Those tricks do not do anything for you in the game but you can use them to surprise your friends.

Definately get your angles down :D I curve my ball too..When you swing and motion your hand to the left or right you can get quite a curve going like the pros :D
I use about three clicks to the right and when I swing I do a fast and tight 90 degree turn to the left with the Wii-mote. I often score over 200 on most games. My record is 248.
I like bowling and tennis.
I love bowling on the Wii.
When you do that trick where you throw the ball behind you, recognize any of the Miis? Yup, your very own Miis are sat behind you!
i have found a killer shot in bowling and most often gotten strikes. Move to the right hand gutter, turn towards the 1-3 pocket of the pins, and throw it straight or maybe a little hook on the ball. My ranking is well over 1600 and usually shoot in the 240-300 range.
hey chris … ive tried your tip and it works often for me also i must say that it really works most times i get a strike and my rating is just over the 1200 for now i an getting higher so :)
i love bowling on the wii and have been playing some time now and lately found a trick on bowling training. select bowling in the training menu and then select power throws. take the first two or three shots in a normal manner. and then on if you bowl right handed then move yr wii to the far left of the lane and then aim for the side of the lane and bounce the ball off it. you will soon see that if you zoom in there is a couple of lines on the side of the lane, aim just past the first one and you will strike time after time with practice.
I was told that when I reached pro level in Tennis my racket would change to silver?? I am at 2100 and I still have the regular racquet. Is this true if so please tell me how Thanks
