Two Rockin’ Good Reasons to Buy a PS3 This Year
Two of the hottest games this holiday season are Guitar Hero 3 and Rockband. Rockband is only available on the Xbox360 and the PS3 while guitar Hero 3 can be found on the Wii, Xbox360, PS2 and PS3 systems. "Can be found" may be the wrong choice of words.
Because these two games are so hot they have quickly sold out. People actually camp out in front of video game stores waiting for the UPS guy to show up so they can buy these games before they are even unpacked!
In my travels I have found out that the rarest of all is the Guitar Hero 3 for the Wii, no one has this things except the scalpers on eBay. You can occasionally spot an Xbox360 version of Guitar Hero 3 but you can always spot a PS3 version in the stores. Just yesterday I stopped into a Wal-Mart store and found a stack 40 copies high of Guitar Hero 3 for the PS3.
As for Rockband, you can not find the Xbox360 version anywhere. The PS3 version is another story. Every store I visited yesterday had at least three copies of the game sitting out in the open for the PS3. Do you see where I am going with this?
If you want to play guitar Hero 3 or Rockband this holiday season just bite the bullet and buy a PS3. The PS3 is no longer the overpriced white elephant in the console wars. Blu-ray is beginning to take off and the PS3 is one of the cheapest Blu-ray players out there. In fact, you can buy the PS3 for as low as $399.99 from Best Buy. For a mere $169.99 you can buy the MTV Games Rock Band Special Edition (PlayStation 3) from Best Buy and choose to get it shipped or pick it up at the store.
If Guitar Hero 3 is your thing than just go right into the store and pick one up. They have plenty in stock even though they are absent from their website.
