Aaron Lunning, 11, of New York, reacts as his mom Rachel Cohen-Lunning is among the first in the U.S. to purchase Super Mario Galaxy for Wii, early Monday, Nov. 12, 2007, at Nintendo World store in New York.

On November 12, 2007 just minutes after midnight the Nintendo World store in New York City released Super Mario Galaxy on the Wii. Many were in attendance to bring home the game and these photographs were provided by Nintendo of America so all of those who were not able to attend could share in the excitement.

I thought about taking the train down into the city to get the game but it's getting cold outside this time of year and I have tried the game out in stores and will likely not be buying it. Even though it looks like a great game I found myself suffering from nausea when playing the demo due to the way the camera angles and horizons work. If you have trouble playing first person shooter games (as I do) this game may not work out for you.
