I guess the main thing for buying online for me, is that I typically need the item right then and there and I have no time to wait for the delivery. Other wise, I just don’t feel like waiting for the delivery.. which is pretty bad I know. When it comes to purchases at stores though, I do shop around, and I would definitely notice a sweet deal like this 2 for one here.

I’ve seen that sort of thing in supermarkets, where you can buy a big or small version of something (e.g. coffee). Usually the bigger jar is better value, but sometimes they’ll have an offer on the smaller jars so it’s actually cheaper to buy several of the smaller ones. But I’ve not seen one that’s as clear cut and obvious as the thumb drives!

I have never noticed that before. I have been able to receive a discount on an item due to them labeling it wrong. Never this amount trickery.

Very interesting view from people. I do the other way ,check the prices in the huigh street and resort online to purchase if its free delivery.

I worked a best buy back in college and this happens due to strange discounting from the manufacture. Sometimes they even would offer deep discounts on items that undercut their own products in order to boost volume. It was dumb but not always the retailers fault.

Thats why you some of the ecommerce sites recording steady growth whilst offline retail stores are going into administration. Shoppers are becoming more diligent and refuse to pay a premium for good they can get for less at an online retailer.

Amazon posted decent profits over the Christmas season and your post illustrates exactly why?

The online deal? Yes for sure, most of the items at the stores actually are lower online.

But… that is pretty crazy though that those two items are next to each other like that!

This has happened a couple times to me before, so now before I go out looking for a product, I first check online to see what the price for that is, and then when I go to the store, I compare the two prices. Normally the online one is always cheaper so I usually end up getting it online.
