After a little bit of drilling he got all of the decay out and put one of those new tooth-colored fillings in. It looks oh so nice! Much better than the military filling that fell out. Unfortunately some of those fillings had cavities behind them, so the replacement process was even more painful than usual. That drilling sound really gets to me. They wait until they actually feel the pain before going in. Preventive measures are not their immediate concern. It's too bad really because I'm sure that everyone could benefit from people preventing more dental problems. Well, everyone except the insurance companies.
