Will I be getting the new Metroid game? Sadly I am unlikely to get it. Not because the game does not interest me (it does) but because I had trouble playing the last two on the Game Cube due to motion sickness issues. It's all part of getting old...

You’ve got at least rent it. This looks like the first solid Wii title to hit the console yet.
I agree. I posted the commercial for the game a few days ago and the controls are rock solid. I’ll just have to buy a box of seasickness pills or something.
I did complete Metroid Prime and I got a little way into the second one (played a lot of the multiplayer). I just can’t stomach the game, makes me very sick after 1 hour of playing a day.
I picked it up yesterday plan on playing it when i’m home from work in just over an hour.
Only video game that ever made me motion sick was Dungeons and Dragons Online.. No idea. signed up for the free trial and after getting all motion sick I was like umm Never mind..
Just a general interesting thing I noticed yesterday just looking at the menus in game..
1) Associates your Mii to your savegame file. and warns that if your Mii is deleted that your game may be lost as well.
2) I went into some menu called Friend Voucher.. And I could tell that another Wii Registered friend had Metroid as well. and could send him something.. No Separate Friend Code as in PBR. Was a Wii 25 Connect option to allow my friends to see I have a Metroid savegame on my system.
Shape of things to come who knows? I just find it intersting..
