It seems like when the swam from Digg just comes all of a sudden, it just knocks your site plain out. A ‘whiteout’. The faithful are those that keep quiet, and not utter a word of complaint. ‘Compliance to their policies is the best policy for them’.

Digg trafic has a very low conversion rate these days. It converted better before they added all the non-tech areas.

It does help in SEO and in getting your Alexa ranking lowered.

I prefer the steady traffic of Netscape, Fark and StumbleUpon. I’d much rather have a steady 100-200 hits from a low traffic source than the locust swarm that Digg is.

I wonder if they count all the accounts they have banned? I would be one in that boat. Only submitted a few of my articles and they banned me and blocked the IP’s I come in from.

From what I hear, the traffic doesn’t convert well anyway. Thoughts?

I know there has been a strong anti-digg movement lately, but you have to admit these guys are doing something right. One million members is an incredible achievement.
