When I'm not blogging I like to waste spend my time on a few forums. I'm going to list them in no particular order.

Front Row Crew Forums - Home of the GeekNights podcast, the Front Row Crew forums are very active with a small group of users. Topics cover a wide spectrum of issues and debate always ensues!

Kenzer and Company Forums - Home of the Kenzer and Company games such as HackMaster and their wonderful magazine Knights of the Dinner Table. I used to admin for these guys but now I mostly just lurk on their forums.

Serebii Forums - Home of major Pokemon discussions! You didn't think I would leave off a forum that deals with Pokemon, did you?

Dharma Secrets Forum - A home for all sorts of discussions on the TV show Lost. This forum is chock-full of Lost goodness. However, you need to register because during peak traffic periods only registered users can use the board.

That's it. Feel free to check these boards out.

HeroesI like Heroes, a lot. Sometimes though, I need more. The show only airs one night a week so where do you go for more Heroes? Why you go on the web of course!

Try out some of these Handy links to feed your Heroes addiction!

There is also a number of MySpace pages out there too. I don't particulalry understand why people who would not want to be found would have MySpace pages but...

I hope some of these links will help you feed your Heroes addiction!

Andy over at MathPoints just tagged me for a magazine meme.

To be honest, I get hardly any magazines these days. There is simply too much stuff available on line for me to plunk my hard earned money on magazines. With that said, there are some I will occasionally purchase.

    Magazines for me

  • Knights of the Dinner Table - This is a comic/game magazine put out by Kenzer and Company. They published one of my games in the past and they hold some options on some of my future games. I also did a good bit of web work for them in the past. One thing I got was a very long subscription to their magazine in liue of cash money for working for them. It's a great read and they offer some free webstrips on their web site.
  • Wired - I used to subscribe to this (annual girl scout fundraising drive) but, like so many things they publish their content on line shortly after the magazine hits the stands. It's still a great read and I look it over at the library.
  • Wood Working - I don't remember the name of the wood working magazine I currently get but I do get one. I spend a few hours reading through it and saying things like, "one day I'm going to build me one of them," then I put it down and forget about it. I do own a table saw and a few other wood working tools and I have built things. The problem I have is that I am allergic to many kinds of wood. It's mostly a pollen allergy but, why take the chance?

So, who should I tag next?

Ms. Q, RT Cunningham and Ryan.

I had intended to do these every Friday but... Real life intervened and I've had to cut back on some of my web activities.

Never fear! I have taken some time to write up a quick Speed Linking article for your consumption. Get ready, get set, go!!!

That is all I got for today. I'm in the middle of a coding project right now so I have not been on the web nearly as much as normal. Never fear though for I am taking all of this week off from work to... to... work around my house!

Nathan Drach has tagged me with the "My Obssessive Thoughts" meme thingie. Since this is my first meme this should be interesting.

The funny thing about this is that earlier today I was telling another blogger friend how I have never been tagged on one of these meme thingies and that I was worried that if I did get tagged I would end up being tagged last and have no one to tag in response! Hopefully I will be able to find five folks to tag with this...

    My Obssessive Thoughts

  • Code - I am very obssessive about writing code. There have been times where I have awoken in the middle of the night after dreaming of writing some super sweet code. I then run out to my computer and type it all in, oblivious to the time of night and how tired I am.
  • File Systems - I'm not talking about file cabinets or computer file systems, I am talking about my own special system that I use to "file" things around my house. My wife calls it clutter but I know where everything is! Well, until she moves it that is...
  • Food - I have a problem eating out. The problem stems from a host of food allergies I have picked up over time, the most notable of which is my beef allergy. Any place that uses the same grill to cook beef and other stuff is a place where I can no longer eat. In fact, I almost never eat out anymore becuase I always get sick afterwards.
  • Web Stuff - I am forever thinking up crazy new ideas for web sites. Some pan out, some do not. Either way I think I spend far too much time working on such things.
  • Cleaning - I'm not exactly a clean freak but, when I do clean I like to clean. I mean really clean. We're talking, "get out the screw driver and open that thing up so I can even clean the dust from the inside" kind of cleaning.

Well, that is about it. Who can I tag next?

Ms. Q, Derrich, Baron, Esofthub and Manthem. We will see how many respond!

It appears that my good friend J. Radke decided to nominate this blog for a number of awards. I'm not sure why he would want to do this unless he was nominating me for the "lamest blog in the world" award.

Here they are!

So, do me a favor and go vote for me!

PS: I've been a little lax on posting lately as I'm in the process of getting another blog up and running!

Kelly Cho

This be the last winner from my March Technorati contest.

So, without any further ado I present to you Kelly Cho - Catch a Falling Star!

Kelly Cho's blog is relatively new as she only started this blog in March of 2007. Now, it may be new but that does not mean it is not good. In fact, one of the things I like about her blog is that she does not take herself too seriously. Just take a look at her about me page and see for yourself.

I have to be honest and tell you right now that I discovered Kelly's blog the same way I discover so many blogs... checking my server logs. Yeah, call me a geek but I do look at those things from time to time and, when I see in bound traffic from a place I do not recognize I tend to check it out.

Looking at her blog, it follows a basic three column format. The content is in the middle and the navigation/information links are on the sides. This works well enough but the font size is a bit too small for my old-man eyes.

Let's get to the meat of this right now.

    My top five posts

  • On Gaming - This is the post that first caught my attention. Kelly talks about console gaming.
  • Blackout Games - Kelly tells us what to do, for gaming, when the power runs out. I especially like her Jelly Belly game though I would spice it up with some of those super nasty Harry Potter jelly beans.
  • Making Money Online - Blog Uber Basics - Kelly breaks down some very basic information in regards to making money online.
  • On Investing - Kelly talks about her investing experience in brief.
  • On Women and Cars - It's not about woman on cars! No, this is about flat tires and foam...

I know the above list of five is not very wide in variety but, the blog is only a month old! I have added Kelly to my RSS bookmarks so I will be checking back on her blog often.

What are you still doing here? I'm done writing and you should be done reading!
