Never read the Eragon books or the Potter ones. I know! My bad! My reader friends who aren't even into fantasy have recommended the Potter books. I just haven't gotten around to starting them and I've seen enough of the movies that I haven't felt drawn to read the books.

I like your movie and book reviews though and it's interesting to read how a writer has improved. I vaguely recall that Eragon was the first book written by the author? Something like that? And he was a young writer? I could google but feel lazy! I used to read all things dragons (well..all things uh, McCafferty?) and at some point left SciFi and Fantasy behind. Great view and comparison!
